This Tuesday, KCCA FC heads to Matugga at Champions stadium Mwererwe with a mega mission – returning with maximum points and fortifying top spot.
Club captain Dennis Okot says that if the boys carry the same belief they had when we taught Police FC a footballing lesson last Friday, with a 3-0 scoreline.
“Everyone in the team knows what we want from the next game. We are ready to do what is humanly possible to get a win although we respect Bright Stars especially at their home turf,” Okot said on Monday morning.
Okot played at centre-back in the 3-0 walloping of Police at Lugogo alongside Habib Kavuma and is set to continue with that role because natural central defenders Timothy Awany and Lawrence Kasadha are yet to fully recover.
“We want to keep out top of the table status and we shall do anything possible to keep it. We must show that we are the reigning champions,” Okot added.
“The convincing win over Police was the exact response we needed after the two regrettable matches against Vipers and Jinja SSS and we hope to build on that as we chase for the title.”
