Cranes’ coach applauds KCCA FC for remarkable show on continent

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic “Micho” has heaped praise on Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) for the commendable performance in continental engagements.

Micho, who was addressing the media on Wednesday at Fufa house, said KCCA FC have held the Uganda flag high for their performance this season.

I want to join the rest of the nation to extend my gratitude to KCCA FC for making Uganda proud by reaching the group stage of the Total CAF Confederation Cup

Micho said at the weekly FUFA press conference in Mengo on Wednesday noting how important it is for Uganda to have a team in the group stage.

It is important for our teams to play in the latter stages of the continental competitions because our players gain experience and confidence

The Serbian tactician who guided Uganda to the 2017 AFCON finals in Gabon went ahead to thank the KCCA FC technical team for the great work done especially in improving players confidence.

“My colleagues, Mike Mutebi and goalkeeper coach Daniel Kiwanuka have done a tremendous job. You see a team playing with belief and that is quite important,” he stated.

The coach also went ahead to applaud KCCA FC for being a model club and displaying a high level of organisation.

KCCA FC have stood out not only on the pitch but also in the administrative department. Club chairman Julius Kabugo and CEO, David Tamale have done a great job

KCCA FC defeated Egyptian side Al Masry at the playoff stage to reach the group stage of this year’s Total CAF Confederation Cup, the only Ugandan club to attain the feat.
