We are in Egypt for a mission – Captain Okot

Team captain Denis Okot has indicated they are in Egypt to fulfill the mission of reaching the group stage of this year’s Total CAF Confederation Cup.

Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club(KCCA FC) play against Egypt’s Al Masry this Saturday in the return leg of the playoff phase carrying a 1-0 lead from the first leg.

Okot, who has played an integral role in all the five continental games KCCA have played this season, believes the players are set and ready to fulfill the desired target of reaching the groups.

We have a mission that we must fulfill here in Egypt and that is qualifying to the groups. The players are set, focused and ready to deliver to their maximum

The captain told www.kccafc.co.ug, adding that he expects a tough challenge from the Egyptians, he also added.

Of course they will come all out to attack because we have the lead but that doesn’t frighten us. We just need to remain focused and efficient to try and score goals

Reports in Egypt indicate that Al Ahly fans have vowed to come and support KCCA as the Ugandans take on Al Masry on and Okot believes this could be a big boost for them.

If some of the Egyptians have decided to rally behind us, then that motivates us the more

Derrick Nsibambi’s winner in Kampala has KCCA in an advantageous position, leaving the Ugandans needing only to avoid a two-goal margin defeat to progress.

The winners on aggregate will earn a slot in the group stage of the Total CAF Confederation Cup and Shs990m for progressing.
