Benjamin Ochan is one of the players with vast experience at Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC), having joined the 11 league champions as a teenager.
The shot stopper was part of the KCCA FC team in 2009 that put a great display on the continent, and missed making the group stage of the Champions League and Confederation Cup narrowly.
With KCCA FC just 90 minutes away from progressing to the group stages of the 2017 Total CAF Confederation Cup, Ochan has called for team efficiency ahead of the return leg against Egypt’s Al Masry due this Saturday in Ismailia.
We respect Al Masry because they are a good team but we have proved to the world that we are equally good. We carry a 1-0 advantage ahead of the return leg and I believe the team that will minimize on mistakes and try to be efficient will get the result and it is exactly what we are hoping to do
Ochan told www.kccafc.co.ug before the team’s departure, he also expects Al Masry to have a change in approach for the fact that they need to overturn the first leg deficit.
I expect a different approach from them. They tried to be cautious in Kampala but we scored late in the game and that automatically puts them under pressure ahead of the return leg
Derrick Nsibambi came off the bench to score a late gasp winner in the first leg at Phillip Omondi stadium and KCCA FC carry a 1-0 lead ahead of the return leg this Saturday. The winner on aggregate will advance to the group stage of the 2017 Total CAF Confederation Cup
