Nunda Jackson (R) side by side with Mutyaba Muzamir (with ball) played his first competitive match on 2nd July, 2017 since March 2015.

Midfielder Jackson Nunda has been off since March 2015 because of a knee injury and it has not been an easy road to full fitness.

The left footed player played his first competitive match for Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) on Sunday July 2nd, 2017 at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.

Nunda spoke to www.kccafc.co.ug on Tuesday morning about the long journey to recovery.

It has not been an easy journey, the surgery, rehabilitation and fighting to get back to full fitness, though am not yet there.

Nunda played 56 minutes as KCCA FC defeated FUS Rabat on Sunday in a five man midfield that had Muzamir Mutyaba and Sadam Ibrahim Juma played behind him, Isaac Muleme and Julius Poloto operated from the wings.

He didn’t show any signs of rust and he wants to help the team qualify for the quarterfinals.

We have a good team, and we stand a good chance of making the last eight, we just have to keep focussed, be aggress and lethal in front, we can get the result we need to qualify.

KCCA FC lead Group A on nine points, same as Club Africain but the former has a better head to head and a draw on Friday will see both teams make the last eight.
