Match Preview: KCCA FC target maximum points against Rivers United

Fresh from winning the Uganda Cup and in the process completing the domestic double, Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club is still in quest for more success.

The focus now shifts to CAF Confederation Cup where the club takes on Nigeria’s Rivers United this Tuesday in Port Harcourt.

The target of progressing from the group is still on truck and ahead of the game on Tuesday, the target will be to earn all three points.

KCCA FC sit second in group A with six points same as leaders FUS Rabat and team manager, Mike Hillary Mutebi is optimistic his side can get the result they want away in Nigeria.

We are in the perfect shape for the game. The players are motivated and ready to play. We came to Nigeria with the intention to win here and keep out intentions of advancing to the quarterfinals

The manager told www.kccafc.co.ug before stating he expects a tough challenge from Rivers United.

They (Rivers United) are a good team, we played them back home and we saw the challenge they gave us but we ready for that and like I have always said, we shall play our way, dominate possession and make sure we earn a good result

On form striker Derrick Nsibambi also shares similar sentiments with the coach indicating maximum points is all KCCA FC needs in the Tuesday’s clash.

We are much prepared for the encounter and in the perfect mood to go on and win the game here in Nigeria. The fact that we won against them, we can still replicate a similar performance here and get victory

All the players that travelled are in good shape and will be available for selection tomorrow.

KCCA FC is second in group A on six points after 3 games while their opponents Rivers United are bottom of the table on 3 points.
