Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) needed to come back on two occasions to salvage a point against hard-fighting Uganda Revenue Authority(URA FC) in the game played on Wednesday at Phillip Omondi stadium.
Feni Ali and Hamis Kiiza scored for the visitors but KCCA FC rallied back through Isaac Muleme who came on as a first substitute for Paul Mucureezi and Geoffrey Serunkuuma in the 2-2 stalemate.
Despite failing to earn maximum points, KCCA team manager indicated the point earned off URA was not a bad result.
We trailed on two occasions in the game but there was a spirit to fight back from the players. We did not get all three points but it was equally important that we added a point to what we have
The manager told www.kccafc.co.ug, he however, noted that the performance was not satisfying enough on the day.
Maybe some of them (players) were fatigued, I do not want to create excuses but the performance today was not good although we earned a point
The draw meant KCCA FC returned to the summit of the league on 47 points, same as second-placed SC Villa but with a superior goal difference and three games in hand. KCCA FC take on SC Villa this Saturday at Masaka Recreation ground in the top of the table clash.
