Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club(KCCA FC) goes into the 2017 Uganda Cup final against Paidha Black Angels on Thursday with one target at hand and that is to clinch the first ever domestic double in the club history.

With the league title already under the belt, KCCA FC will be seeking to end the season (domestically) with another title.

That would mean KCCA FC break the jinx of not winning a double since the club’s inception in 1963.

Team manager Mike Hillary Mutebi before departing for Arua put it clear that KCCA FC is the overwhelming favorite in the final and with a record at stake they will give all they can to make sure they go down the books of history.

There is no doubt that we go into this game as overwhelming favorites, that is a fact. But this calls for extra effort to make sure we play to that status

The manager told www.kccafc.com before indicating that Paidha Black Angels will not be a walk in the park.

We respect them and I believe they are not in the finals by accident. They have played themselves to this stage so we accord them the respect they deserve

With the double target at stake, the manager confirms that this has pushed the team to work harder to break the jinx.

Everyone at the club wants to be part of history as the first KCCA FC team to win a domestic double. So the players are even fuelled more ahead of the game

Midfielder Paul Mucureezi shares similar sentiments with the manager and is aware what is at stake hence promising to go all out to achieve the feat.

The fact is every player is geared up towards the final, if we win this cup, we shall go down in history as the first KCCA FC squad to win the double so this has pushed us to go and offer all that we can to make sure we bring the Uganda Cup to Phillip Omondi stadium
