Youngster Mustafa Kiiza finally had his dream come true as he made his maiden appearance for Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club ( KCCA FC) on Tuesday.
Kiiza made his debut as KCCA defeated Bright stars 2-1 at Phillip Omondi Stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League, playing for the opening 45 minutes before paving way for Isaac Muleme.
The teenage defender was impressed with his first game with the senior team and indicated it was a dream come true for him.
I’m happy that I have played my first competitive game for KCCA FC but most importantly, we have got three points today. It is something I have been longing for and to me this is a dream come true,”
Kiiza told www.kccafc.co.ug after the game before thanking team manager Mike Mutebi for believing in him and promised to work harder.
I thank the manager because he has given me the opportunity to play today. That means I must work harder to continue impressing him and get more playing time,
The lanky left back has been one of the players who have gone through organic growth, graduating from the junior team (KCCA Soccer Academy) to playing for the senior side.

Kiiza was captain of the KCCA U17 team that reached the finals last year and was loaned out to Fufa Big League side Maroons at the start of the season, where he impressed.
His displays for Maroons prompted Mutebi to recall the player and promptly elevate him to the senior team at the start of this year.
He joins three other youngsters that have made their debuts since the start of the second round when they were incorporated into the senior team. These include Lawrence Bukenya, Noel Nasasira and Allan Okello.
