Fresh from a crucial win against Al Masry in the Total CAF Confederation Cup over the weekend, focus shifts to Uganda Cup this Tuesday.

Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) will seek to keep the hopes of winning their first ever domestic double as they take on Fufa Big League side Kataka FC in Bufumbo village, Mbale District on Tuesday.

Team manager Mike Mutebi has confirmed that he will make changes from the team that defeated Al Masry on Saturday for the round of 16 tie in Uganda Cup match.

Due to a congested fixture ahead of us, we shall rest some players and give an opportunity to the rest of the squad members

The manager confirmed to www.kccafc.co.ug before going on to indicate that they are not taking the game lightly.

We are treating this game like any other because there are no small teams especially in knockout tournaments like the Uganda Cup. Our target is to make sure we go there and win the game

Among the players expected to be rested include goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, who will be replaced by Charles Lukwago. Midfielder Tom Masiko, Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Brian Majwega will not start on Tuesday.

Lukwago will be in goal because he is our first choice for cup games. Tom Masiko will not play but both Kirabira Isaac and Ivan Ntege will start and the back line will not change from the one that played against Al Masry,”

Assistant captain Habib Kavuma, who missed the clash against Al Masry, is also out of this one through suspension while defender Timothy Awany is yet to recover a groin injury he suffered against Bright Stars.

Midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba, who suffered a cut on the head in the game against Al Masry, will also not play while Allan Okello and Mustapha Kiiza are cup-tied after featuring for the KCCA Corporate team in the early stages of Uganda Cup.

The winner between Kataka and KCCA will play Police in the quarterfinal final stage as the league holders aim at their maiden double since establishment in 1963.

KCCA FC defeated Koboko Rising Stars 6-1 at the round of 64  before pulling off another  6-0 against Lungujja Galaxy at the round of 32.
