KCCA FC visit SC Villa in the famed Kampala derby in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League in Wankulukuku.
The derby comes at a time when neither of the teams can win the league title this season, but lots of bragging rights are at stake when the most successful sides in Ugandan football meet.
Both KCCA FC and SC Villa shared spoils in the reverse fixture this term.
Patrick Kakande’s equalizer canceled out Sadat Anaku’s goal.
Previously in the league, KCCA FC were 2-1 winners over Police FC while SC Villa shared spoils with URA FC.
A win will have KCCA FC increase its points tally to 43, while a win for the home side, SC Villa, will have them leapfrog KCCA FC by a point on the table, with three games remaining to wrap up the Uganda Premier League 2024/25 season.
Jackson Magera Kaddu, who has coached SC Villa twice in 2011 as an assistant coach and in 2021–2023 as a head coach spoke to this website ahead of the derby
We are set enough to go to Wankulukuku to compete with the defending champions in the derby. It will be a tough game, and we have emphasized this during the preparations to the players. These are the two most successful football sides in this country, and whenever they face each other, it is fireworks. – Jackson Magera Kaddu
