KCCA FC defender Hassan Muhamud has emerged as a crucial figure in the early stages of the 2025/26 season, reflecting on his fitness and expressing bold ambitions for both himself and the club.
Having started all four league matches this term and keeping two clean sheets, the versatile defender’s consistent presence is a welcome change from his recent past.
Muhamud, who signed a two-year deal with the Cityzens at the start of the 2024/25 season, emphasized that a strong preseason laid the groundwork for his stellar start to this campaign.
Last season, I had many injuries, this season, I have had a good start. The preseason was very good. I feel fit, and I hope to achieve the best.
His renewed commitment to fitness has been evident in his defensive displays, anchoring a KCCA backline eager to compete for major honors.
While focusing on his personal form, Muhamud’s sights are firmly set on the team’s collective success. The defender stated that winning trophies is the primary target for the club this campaign.
We want to win silverware this season and hopefully we can win both domestic trophies.

For Muhamud, personal achievement is inherently linked to team success. His individual goals include contributing significantly to the club’s success and making a return to the national team setup.
Primarily a center back, Muhamud is equally comfortable operating across the entire back line or stepping up into the engine room as a defensive midfielder, offering the technical team another tactical option.
The defender has previously featured for clubs like Express FC, SC Villa, Onduparaka FC, and Police FC.
His experience is not limited to Uganda; Muhamud also spent two years plying his trade in the Tanzania Premier League, representing both Geita Gold FC and Mbeya City FC.
Hassan Muhamud will be back in action this week as KCCA FC hosts Calvary FC next in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Friday, 31st October 2025, at 8 pm.
