After close to three years of no activity in the FUFA Juniors League, it finally returns this Saturday at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

This year’s FUFA Juniors edition will be played in regions.

KCCA FC which hails from Kampala has been placed in the Kampala region alongside Prosper Academy, SC Villa JT, NEC FC JT, K.S Sparta 09, Maroons JT, Bright Stars JT, Volf Soccer Academy, Edgars Youth, Proline Soccer Academy, Police JT, Isra Soccer Academy, Express FC JT, and Kampala JT.

The best teams from every region will compete for top honors.

This year’s FUFA Juniors League will be played by footballers under the age of 17 years and these are largely school-going students.

The KCCA FC Soccer Academy team will be coached by former KCCA FC players and now coaches, Richard Malinga and Saka Mpiima as Head Coach and Assistant Coach respectively.

KCCA FC Soccer Academy’s last game in the FUFA Juniors League was on 15th March 2020 at Luzira Prisons. KCCA FC were 1-0 winners against the junior prisons’ side courtesy of Oscar Mawa’s goal.

KCCA FC Soccer Academy players Training at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo

KCCA FC has come close thrice to winning the FUFA Juniors League. The Soccer Academy has played three Finals of the FUFA Juniors League in 2015, 2017, and 2019 but has never won the competition.

The KCCA FC Soccer Academy will commence the pursuit of their first-ever FUFA Juniors League title against Prosper Academy on Saturday 5th November 2022 at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

The FUFA Juniors League game at 12 pm will be the curtain-raiser of the Uganda Premier League game between KCCA FC and Blacks Power FC at 4 pm.

Former KCCA FC Soccer Academy player Sadat Anaku is the all-time top scorer of the FUFA Juniors League with 83 goals from 52 games. He scored 27, 26, and 30 goals in the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons respectively. He was promoted to KCCA FC Senior Team in 2019 and later transferred to Dundee United FC in Scotland in the summer of 2022.

Sadat Anaku is one of the products of the KCCA FC Soccer Academy. He now plays professional football at Dundee United FC
