Mbarara City FC vs KCCA FC

Rwamwanja Stadium, Kamwenge.

Friday, November, 28, 2025 – 4pm EAT

An intriguing clash is set for this Friday, as KCCA FC travels to take on Mbarara City FC in a Uganda Premier League fixture at Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge.

The Cityzens have enjoyed a solid start to the campaign, and the team’s confidence will be high coming off that previous league win against URA.

Mbarara City FC is in a precarious situation, stuck in the relegation zone and searching for its second league victory. A recent string of poor results led to the club parting ways with its head coach.

KCCA FC will need to be clinical to overcome the resilient Mbarara side playing at home, especially as the Ankole Lions fight to have their season back on track.

KCCA FC sits 3rd on the log, while Mbarara City lies second from the bottom in 15th position.

Mbarara’s first win in the league this term came in the previous match against Buhimba away from home. They are yet to win a league match at home this term.

KCCA FC welcomes back co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo, who has been away for the last month at the U17 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

KCCA FC co-head coach Jackson Magera spoke to this website in a pre-match press conference ahead of the fixture against Mbarara City FC.

We face a side that has always been resilient when playing at home, but we are ready and have prepared well. We want to capitalize on our previous performance and play for maximum points.
