Emmanuel Anyama’s brace and Ashraf Mugume’s late goal were all KCCA FC needed to grab the advantage from the first leg of the semifinal of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
KCCA FC showed intent from the outset and asked the visitors questions several times inside the opening quarter of the game.
KCCA’s best chance fell to an unmarked Gavin Kizito, who headed the ball wide after Usama had delivered beautifully from a corner kick in the 27th minute.
In the 34th minute, Saidi Mayanja’s cross found Shafik Kwikiriza, who nodded the ball onto the frame of the goal, and the visitors cleared their lines.

Just when it looked like the opening stanza would end goalless, Mayanja’s pass from deep found Sserunjogi who teed up Anyama and the forward made no mistake but slot the ball in the back of the net in additional time.
1-0 at the break.

After recess, Ashraf Mugume replaced Saidi Mayanja.
Four minutes later, a sweeping move for the home side, KCCA FC, fell to Anyama, who quickly interchanged passes with Usama Arafat, and the former rifled the ball in the back of the net.
Earlier, Kataka’s Michael Olinga was cautioned for trying to score with his hand.

At the hour mark, KCCA’s Shafik Kwikiriza was cautioned for a late challenge on Kataka’s Usama.
A change was made, João Gabriel replacing Kwikiriza.
Yian Gatbel replaced Emmanuel Anyama in the 68th minute.
KCCA’s James Mubezi, Fillbert Obenchan, and Peter Magambo got cautioned for two fouls and delaying the restart, respectively.
As Kataka searched for the consolation goal, KCCA FC searched for the third goal and it was the home side that was rewarded for its intentional play.
Joao Gabriel beat a man and laid a good ball for Ashraf Mugume who guided the ball home to give KCCA FC the third goal in the first semifinal.
Sammy Ssebaduka and Sadat Anaku replaced Gavin Kizito and Usama Arafat, respectively.

3-0 the final score.
