KCCA FC came into the CAF Confederation Cup first leg playoff game against Egyptian side El Masry with only one mission, to win at home and then have an uppercut a week after in the return leg in Egypt.
KCCA FC from the onset looked the bogey side with attack after attack that tired out the Egyptians.
Teenage sensation Allan Okello had a clear cut chance after 15 minutes that was pushed away by El Masry custodian Ahmed Abdelhalim.
KCCA FC looked the better side the entire opening 45 but lacked the cutting edge as little was offered by the Egyptian side in a half were custodian Benjamin Ochan was hardly troubled.
As the second half resumed, the gaffer switched to a more physical approach as the game switched from beautiful to ugly.
Muzamir Mutyaba was subbed for Derrick Nsibambi after a nasty head stump by defender Islam Salem.
The physical approach saw Ivan Ntege come on for Allan Okello and Robert Ssentongo for Geoffrey Serunkuuma in search for a winner.

KCCA FC kept on throwing all they had to the El Masry backline but the visitors had answers to the questions asked.
And just when the tie seemed to be heading for deadlock, Benjamin Ochan launched a long freekick in the visitors’ box that found a charging Derrick Nsibambi who struck the ball from a tight angle past Ahmed Abdelhalim to win it for KCCA FC right at the death.
And 1-0 is how it ended giving KCCA FC an edge as the teams prepare to meet in the second leg next Saturday.
