Teams: KCCA FC vs. Entebbe UPPC FC
Date: Friday, 30th January 2026
Kickoff: 8:00 PM EAT
Competition: StarTimes Uganda Premier League
As the Uganda Premier League enters match day 15, all eyes turn to the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo this Friday, as KCCA FC welcomes UPPC to the capital city.
This will be a narrative-rich clash between established giants KCCA FC and the ambitious newcomers, Entebbe UPPC FC.
For the first time in history, these two sides will face off in a competitive match that sees former players and coaches returning to their old stomping grounds.
UPPC FC has effectively built its backbone on the former KCCA FC players Mujuzi Musitafa, Steven Munguchi, Julius Poloto, and Isa Mubiru, all of whom wore yellow and blue just months ago. Seeing them line up against their former teammates will be the highlight of the evening.
Perhaps most intriguing is the Printers’ dugout. Abdallah Mubiru now leads the visitors after playing for KCCA FC and coaching the club just last season. Alongside him is Livingston Mbabazi, a man whose name is etched in KCCA lore as one of the greats.
After a rocky patch where they dropped points against Police and Maroons, the Cityzens looked like a championship side again in their last outing when they disarmed the UPDF FC 4-0, thanks to a brace from Sammy Ssebadduka, a penalty from Joel Sserunjogi and a clinical maiden goal from Alpha Thierry Ssali.
Visitors UPPC FC have gone 7 games unbeaten in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this term.

KCCA FC co-coach Brian Ssenyondo is wary of the emotional weight of this game but remains focused on the title race:
We are facing a good side that knows our philosophy inside out. However, our focus is on maintaining the momentum from the UPDF win. The standard at this club is excellence, and we expect nothing less than three points to keep our pressure at the top.

UPPC comes into this game after a hard-fought draw with Maroons FC. While they have shown they are difficult to break down, especially on the road, the pressure of playing at Lugogo against a rejuvenated KCCA side will be their ultimate test of the season.
