Ivan Ahimbisibwe, known as ‘The Hunter’ for his relentless pursuit of the net, currently leads the attack for KCCA FC and sits at the top of the league’s scoring charts with four goals this term. This strong start to the campaign is the result of a deep-seated desire to achieve something great, both for the club and himself.
Ahimbisibwe’s current form is a continuation of a curve that has seen him become one of the most lethal center forwards in the Uganda Premier League.
Coming off an exceptional 2024/25 season where he previously netted an impressive sixteen goals, Ivan is adapting quickly to the tactical demands and establishing himself as the focal point of the KCCA FC attack.
The forward credits this seamless transition to the work done behind the scenes.
We prepared so very well ahead of the season. The commitment from everyone comes from pre season and the guidance from the coaching staff, plus the collective effort from my teammates. The coaches have prepared us very well, and we always play for maximum points in every game.

KCCA FC co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo spoke to the club website about Ahimbisibwe and said,
Ahimbisibwe’s clinical finishing has seen him score in critical matches for us this season. His execution shows a striker who has internalized the necessary movements and finishing techniques taught during training sessions. He is a player who always shows desire, and he, like the rest of the players, will be key for us this season.
Beyond the individual accomplishment of topping the scoring charts, Ahimbisibwe’s ambition is to perform consistently well and to be a key difference maker for KCCA FC.
I want to push so hard this season and be prepared every game, and we’ll see how far I can go. I want to understand everything the coaches teach us so that I can score many goals and win for this club. This can only be made possible with the help of my teammates so that we can achieve something great as a unit.
Ahimbisibwe is not content with just being a league top scorer but also wants to help the club secure silverware. His four goals from seven games are the opening chapter to a season he hopes will be defined by team success and a legacy as one of the club’s most effective goal scorers.
“The Hunter” will be hoping to add to his goal tally when KCCA FC returns to action this Friday, 28th November, against Mbarara City FC at Rwamwanja Stadium, Kamwenge.
