KCCA FC co-head coach Jackson Magera has lauded his team’s character following a crucial win against Mbarara City FC in Kamwenge.
The coach concurrently called for improvement as the Cityzens prepare to face BUL FC this Saturday, December 6th, in Njeru.
Magera emphasized the mental toughness displayed by the squad in their recent outing.
The players put up a great fight against Mbarara City away. Leading the game, conceding a goal, and then coming back to win shows great fight.
However, the coach was quick to caution about the way the team conceded against Mbarara City.
We defended recklessly in that situation from which we conceded. We need to do better.
Magera took time to acknowledge the standout individual performances that secured the three points in Kamwenge. He singled out Herbert Achayi, whose combination of a goal and an assist against Mbarara City FC proved decisive.
Herbert was on top of his game today, and that shows from his output, a goal and an assist. That is why we brought him back here.

Another player earning high praise was Ivan Ahimbisibwe for his recent goal scoring efforts.
Ivan has scored 5 goals in 8 league matches since joining the Cityzens this season. Magera expressed strong confidence in the center forward’s abilities.
He (Ahimbisibwe) is a complete center forward and one that will be key for us this season.
With the next challenge looming, the focus immediately shifts to the match against BUL FC. The two sides will meet in Njeru this Saturday, December 6th, in what promises to be a highly competitive fixture.
In his message ahead of the next league fixture, Magera stressed that every player must be at their best to secure a positive result in Njeru.
We must prepare well and be focused heading into the fixture against BUL FC. It definitely will be a tough match.
The Cityzens will be relying on their fighting spirit thus far to navigate the upcoming test against BUL and continue their positive momentum in the Uganda Premier League.
