Full Time: Calvary FC 1-0 KCCA FC
Venue: Midigo Primary School Ground, Yumbe.
KCCA FC lost 1-0 to Calvary FC, away from home on saturday afternoon in Midigo, West Nile.
Despite dominating large spells of the game, the “Kasasiro Boys” were undone by a second-half header from Lawrence Olaboro, handing bottom side Calvary FC a 1-0 victory.
The match kicked off with KCCA FC signaling their intent early. By the 7th minute, the traveling fans were nearly on their feet as Ahimbisibwe found space in the final third, only to see his effort brush the woodwork and fly wide.
The pressure mounted in the 15th minute when a slick exchange saw Jjara tee up Ahimbisibwe. After a clever cut-back, the favor was returned, but Jjara’s goal bound strike was deflected for a corner.

Calvary’s defense, led by goalkeeper Hadji Shukuru, remained under siege but showed remarkable grit. Shukuru’s heroics were truly highlighted in the 27th minute when he produced a stunning save to deny Mayanja’s header following a pinpoint Joel free-kick.
While the football was flowing, the physical nature of the contest became apparent as both sides traded yellow cards, Eric Otingcwinyu for Calvary and Shafik Kwikiriza for KCCA leaving the game deadlocked at the break.
The second half introduced a moment of pride for the traveling KCCA faithful as Soccer Academy captain Steven Oyirwoth who looked composed on his senior debut.

Looking remarkably composed on the left side of the backline, the youngster’s performance was a rare silver lining on a frustrating afternoon.
However, the momentum shifted in the 60th minute. Calvary got a corner kick that was sent high into the KCCA box to Lawrence Olaboro who headed past Mugolofa, capitalizing on a momentary lapse in the KCCA defense to give the hosts a shock lead.
KCCA technical team then introducing Rogers Mugisha and Mugume for Shafik Kwikiriza and Brain Jjara.
Mugisha nearly found the equalizer in the 77th minute after a brilliant individual run into the box, but Shukuru was once again equal to the task.

In a final throw of the dice, KCCA made a triple substitution, bringing on Katenga, Mezui, and Ssengendo for Peter Magambo, Saidi Mayanja and Lazaro Muhindo.
Despite the fresh legs and a flurry of late attacks, Calvary FC held firm, defending their slim lead with everything they had until the final whistle.
1-0 at Fulltime.
KCCA FC dropping three vital points in the title race.
The “Kasasiro Boys” have no time to dwell on the disappointment. Their focus immediately shifts to a titanic clash against Vipers SC on Wednesday April 29, 2026, at the MTN Omondi Stadium.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the match, co head coach Jackson Magera had this to say.
We dominated the possession and created the chances, but in football if you don’t take your chances, and the other side take their chances they will hurt you. We need to regroup, and prepare for our forthcoming matches, pick the lessons from this and keep our heads high.
