Defender Habib Kavuma has been one of Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club’s (KCCA FC) most consistent performers this season.

The deputy skipper though is suspended for the fifth group tie of the 2017 Total CAF Confederation Cup tie against FUS Rabat on Sunday July 2nd at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

This is after a second bookable offence in the fourth game against Rivers United on June 20th in Port Harcourt, a game KCCA FC lost 2-1.

None the less, Kavuma will be throwing his weight behind his teammates come Sunday as they try to keep their home record in competition intact.

“Am just one player missing on that day, we have a strong team which should be able to finish the job on Sunday with a convincing result.

” The manager has so many options in defense, from the captain Okot (Denis) Timothy Awany, Paul Musamali, Denis Rukundo and Isaac Muleme, surely we have enough cover,”

Kavuma told www.kccafc.co.ug on Wednesday morning, before commenting on KCCA FC’s chances of making the last eight.

Our chances are very much alive, we just need to win our home game then go to Tunisia and force a result off Club Africain. Which is very possible by the way, so our chances of qualifying are still high.

KCCA FC are on six points just like all the other teams but lie bottom of the group because of an inferior goal difference.

That can be turned around with a decent score come Sunday against a side that won the reverse fixture 3-0 in Rabat but also made the semifinals of the same competition in the last campaign.
