KCCA FC’s new defensive stalwart, Enock Walusimbi, has expressed his delight at how smoothly his transition at KCCA FC has been, citing the familiar faces in the squad as a key factor.
The defender, who has quickly established himself in the backline, has featured in four matches for the Kasasiro Boys, and the club has conceded once with him on the pitch; this was a penalty in the derby against SC Villa at Namboole.
Speaking about his first months at the club, Walusimbi indicated that an immediate connection with his teammates made the settling-in period easy, an important factor for a player moving to a club with high expectations.
I am settling in very well at the club. When I came in, I found a good number of players who were my friends, and it has been easy for me to adapt here.

He also hailed the exceptional environment and bond within the KCCA FC squad, noting that the positive atmosphere contributes greatly to their collective goals.
There is hard work and competition here. We are a family and that is very important. It does not matter if someone has played or not played, there is love and motivation from one another and the coaches.
Looking ahead to the rest of the season, Walusimbi is motivated by clear and ambitious targets, both for the club and for his personal career.
As a defender, his primary focus is on shoring up the backline and helping KCCA FC challenge for top honors.
I want to play more games, keep more clean sheets, win matches and win silverware for the club this season
Enock also has a desire to return to the national team setup. Having previously featured for the Uganda Cranes, he is determined to use his new platform to earn a recall.
Walusimbi will be back in action when KCCA FC visits Vipers SC in the league this Friday at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
