About KCCA FC
Cityzens since 1963. The pride of Kampala.
Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club, commonly known as KCCA FC and nicknamed "The Cityzens," is a Ugandan professional football club based in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.
Founded in 1963, the club is owned by Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), the governing body of Uganda's capital. KCCA FC plays its home matches at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala, which has a capacity of approximately 10,000 and is currently undergoing phased redevelopment.
A History of Excellence
KCCA FC is one of the most successful football clubs in Uganda, boasting an impressive trophy cabinet that includes 13 Uganda Premier League titles — the most recent in the 2018/19 season — and 10 Uganda Cup victories. The club also won the CECAFA Kagame Interclub Cup in 1978 and 2019.
The club has represented Uganda on the continental stage multiple times, competing in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup. These campaigns have given Ugandan football valuable exposure on the African stage.
The Academy
The KCCA FC Soccer Academy, established in 2024, is the club's investment in the next generation. Through holiday programs, term-time sessions, and weekend training, the academy provides young footballers in Kampala with professional coaching and a pathway to the first team.
Our Home
MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo serves as the fortress of the Cityzens. Named after the legendary club figure, the stadium is being modernized in phases to provide an improved matchday experience for fans while maintaining its intimate atmosphere that makes it one of the most feared venues in the Uganda Premier League.
Partners
KCCA FC is proud to partner with leading organizations including Britam Insurance (through 2027/28), MTN Uganda (stadium naming rights since 2020), and Nivana Water (hydration partner). These partnerships support the club's ambitions on and off the pitch.
