KCCA FC has named the club captains ahead of the 2025–26 season.
The revelation was made at the KCCA FC Season Opener Briefing on Monday, September 22nd, as the club unveiled a 30-man squad for the 2025–26 season.
Charles Lukwago will wear the armband for the 2025–26 season.
Lukwago, who recently returned to KCCA FC, was a key member of the squad that secured Uganda Premier League titles in 2017 and 2019, adding to the club’s trophy cabinet with Uganda Cup victories in 2017 and 2018.
Lukwago’s leadership was most poignantly displayed in 2019 when, as skipper and first choice goalkeeper, he led the team to its second ever CECAFA Kagame Clubs Cup success after a 41 year wait.
Fillbert Obenchan, Herbert Achayi, and Derrick Paul Nsibambi, in that order, will all be assisting Lukwago.
The quartet was unveiled before the KCCA FC Club Patron, Deputy Executive Director, Board Members, and staff at the KCCA FC Season Opener Briefing held at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

KCCA FC Squad 2025–26
KCCA FC Technical Team for 2025/26 season
The technical team has been beefed up by the hiring of co-head coaches Brian Ssenyondo and Jackson Magera.
KCCA FC’s former player Habib Kavuma joins the technical team as assistant coach.
The club has also hired Afua Muajuma Namayanja as a team physiotherapist ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Seasoned Doctor Ivan Ssewanyana, who has been serving as the club’s team doctor since 2015, has opted to pursue further endeavors and will leave the club at the end of September 2025.
Felix Ayobo, the club’s fitness, conditioning, and strengthening coach, is away pursuing further studies in Germany to equip himself even better for the role. He is expected to return to work in December 2025.
