Hassan Muhamud signs a one-year extension with KCCA FC

KCCA FC has secured the future of versatile defender Hassan Muhamud, who has put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension.

Muhamud’s initial two-year deal, which ran through the end of the 2025–26 season, had recently run down. However, the club and the player have swiftly moved to extend his stay, ensuring his valuable experience remains in the squad for the upcoming campaign.

Muhamud, who joined the club with a wealth of experience both locally and regionally, remains a key part of the KCCA FC squad. Known for his tactical flexibility, the center-back is equally comfortable playing anywhere across the back line or stepping up into a defensive midfield role.

Before his time at KCCA FC, Muhamud had featured for Express FC, Police FC, Onduparaka FC, and SC Villa domestically.

He also had a two-year stint in the Tanzania Premier League with Geita Gold FC and Mbeya City FC and earned caps for the Uganda Cranes at the CHAN finals.

Speaking on his decision to extend his stay, Muhamud reiterated his commitment to the club's vision and his strong bond with the leadership:

I am delighted to extend my stay with KCCA FC. I have a good relationship with the head coach, and he has shared his plans with me. I am certain that we can achieve so much as a unit. The club has fantastic players, and this kind of competition keeps every player on their toes, which is healthy for all of us.

KCCA FC Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo had this to say about Muhamud’s renewal.

Retaining Hassan was a priority for us. He is a senior player whose leadership and flexibility give us so many options across the back line. His understanding of our long term plans made this extension easy.
