KCCA FC Soccer Academy Set for 2026 FUFA Juniors League Kick Off, Squad Numbers.

The KCCA FC Soccer Academy (Junior Team) is ready to embark on another FUFA Juniors League season. The young Cityzens open their campaign with an away trip to face Kitara FC JT at the Royals Park in Butema, Hoima.

This season, the league continues its developmental objective with the three-round format designed to give a proper test to the young stars.

The 2026 edition features 16 teams divided into two pools: the Hat Trick Group and the Treble Group.

KCCA FC Soccer Academy is pitted in the Hat Trick Group.

The competition will be played over three rounds:

• Rounds One and Two: Teams will meet in the traditional home and away format.
• The Third Round: The host for the final round of fixtures will be determined by performance. The side with superior head-to-head records OR a better ranking of the senior team in the 1^st division at the time of release of the 3^rd round fixtures of the FJL OR send offs and cautions accumulated in the first two legs of the FUFA JUniors League, as per the FUFA Competitions Rules 2024/25, will earn the right to host the third encounter.

Several FUFA Juniors League matches this season will serve as curtain raisers for the senior Uganda Premier League games. This will provide the youngsters with the invaluable experience of playing in front of larger crowds and on the same turf as their senior idols.

KCCA FC will need to navigate a tough Hat Trick Group to secure a spot in the final play-offs.

The Head of the Junior Team, Saka Mpiima, has expressed confidence in the squad.

Following a rigorous pre-season, our focus remains on the club’s philosophy of development and nurturing holistic footballers. Our primary goal is to ensure these boys are ready for the next step. Starting away at Kitara is a great test of their character, but we have prepared them to represent the KCCA FC badge with pride and excellence.
