KCCA FC and Maroons FC shared spoils in Luzira Prisons Grounds.

Having won 5-0 in the reverse fixture against Maroons FC earlier this term in October 2024, KCCA FC hoped to complete the double over the prisons side.

KCCA FC came into this fixture on 24 points, just a point ahead of hosts Maroons FC

Teenager Brain Jjara had KCCA’s first moment of offensive promise but his effort flew inches wide in the 19th minute.

Maroons’ trio of Brian Omirambe, Fredrick Kigozi and Ronald Orombi got cautioned for bookable offenses in the first stanza.

In the second stanza, KCCA made a change, introducing Arafat Usama for Shafik Kwikiriza.

Maroons’ Denis Rukundo was cautioned for a foul on Anaku at the edge of the box. KCCA’s freekick flew wide.

Abdalla Mubiru the made a triple change for KCCA FC. Haruna Lukwago, Sadat Anaku and Saidi Mayanja gave way for Musitafa Mujuzi, Julius Poloto and Ashraf Mugume at the hour mark.

KCCA’s Joel Sserunjogi and Brain Jjara wre cautioned were cautioned for bookable offences.

Midfielder Bright Anukani replaced Ashraf Mugume late on in the game.

Usama should have won the game for KCCA in stoppage time but his effort flew over the fram of the goal.

Goalless after 90 minutes.
