Derrick Nsibambi’s double inside 7 minutes was enough to get KCCA FC in the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup

KCCA FC scored early through similar fashion in the 3rd and 7th minutes.

Saidi Mayanja’s pinpoint delivery from well-taken corner kicks was nodded home from close quarters by Nsibambi in the 3rd and 7th minutes.

Isa Mubiru should have recorded his first goal of the season, but his stinging shot from the edge of the 18 yards box was saved by Kuluva’s custodian in the 24th minute.

With two minutes left to the half-time interval, Shafik Kwikiriza beat his marker and stung the palms of the Kuluva Rainbow FC goalkeeper, and the ball was parried wide.

After recess, Ashraf Mugume replaced Sadat Anaku, and shortly after, Yian Gatbel was introduced in place of Sharifu Ssengendo.

In the 68th minute, James Mubezi replaced Shafik Kwikiriza in what was a tactical change.

In the 70th minute, Kuluva Rainbow FC halved the deficit.

With 10 minutes of normal time left, Julius Poloto and Musitafa Mujuzi replaced Saidi Mayanja and Isa Mubiru.

Derrick Nsibambi was later cautioned for an exchange with a Kuluva player.

2-1 at fulltime.
