KCCA FC announces the renewal of CHINT@Uganda as the principal shirt sponsor and official lighting partner of the club for the 2025/26 season.
The new deal combines both cash and the continued maintenance of the stadium’s floodlights at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, for one year.
The original partnership between KCCA FC and CHINT@Uganda began in 2022 and was set to run until 2025, during which CHINT played a key role in the introduction of night football at MTN Omondi Stadium.
The initial agreement saw KCCA FC announce CHINT@Uganda as its principal shirt sponsor and official lighting partner. CHINT, a leading global provider of smart energy solutions, has been an exclusive franchise holder in Uganda since 2005. A company with a ranking among China’s Top 500 for over 20 years, CHINT is a global powerhouse operating in over 140 countries.
Under the initial partnership, CHINT delivered on its promise to light up the MTN Omondi Stadium with state of the art floodlights, enabling the club to usher in the era of ‘NIGHT FOOTBALL’ that started in the second round of the 2022–2023 season.
Speaking about the one year extension, KCCA FC Chairman, Eng. Sserunjogi Andrew Mukiibi expressed his satisfaction with the continued relationship.

KCCA FC’s principal shirt sponsor and official lighting partner, CHINT, launched the new CHINT Centre in Kampala on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, with pomp and glamour. The state of the art facility is located along First Street, plot 73, Jinja Road in Kampala, solidifying CHINT’s commitment to the Ugandan market.
The new CHINT Centre and showroom is arguably the largest and most spectacular showroom in East Africa, offering a wide range of smart electrical products, and is also the leading provider of clean energy solutions in Uganda.
