KCCA FC’s journey in the FUFA Super 8 came to an end on Saturday as the team drew 0-0 with SC Villa in the return leg, with the Kasasiro Boys being eliminated from the competition on a 2-1 aggregate score.

The tightly contested match at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, saw both sides create chances, but neither was able to find the back of the net.

Despite a determined effort from the away side, KCCA FC, the goalless draw was not enough to overturn the 2-1 defeat suffered in the first leg.

KCCA FC, looking to overturn the 2-1 deficit from the first leg, pushed for an early goal, but the SC Villa backline stood firm. The hosts, on the other hand, were content to soak up the pressure and counterattack, knowing that their aggregate lead gave them the advantage. Despite some promising attacking moves from both sides, neither team could find the breakthrough.

Villa’s skipper, David Owori, and Joel Sserunjogi were cautioned for delaying the restart and fouling, respectively.

Goalless at the interval.

After recess, a debutant Enock Bagenda and Emmanuel Anyama replaced Shafik Kwikiriza and Lazaro Muhindo.

The Maroons also lost their quarterfinal tie to BUL FC, setting up this crucial match for a respectable finish in the tournament.
