Stanbic Uganda Cup | Semifinal 2nd Leg
Kataka FC vs KCCA FC | Agg. 0-3
Mbale City Stadium
Sunday, May 18th, 2025
3:00 pm
KCCA FC visit FUFA Big League side Kataka FC in the second leg of the semifinal of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
KCCA FC holds a 3-0 advantage over Kataka FC from the first leg played a fortnight ago at MTN Omondi Stadium.
In case of a draw on aggregate score, without either team having the away goals advantage, spot kicks will decide the team to qualify for the final of the 51st edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
KCCA FC eliminated Ntungamo’s Kaaro Karungi FC in the quarterfinals, while Kataka FC eliminated Police FC in the same round.
In the previous three encounters in the Uganda Cup against each other, KCCA FC were 3-0, 3-0, and 5-2 winners against Kataka FC in 2025, 2023, and 2017, respectively.
Joint ten-time Uganda Cup record cup holders KCCA FC will be looking for their 11th cup this season, and a semifinal win on aggregate against Kataka FC would bring them closer to cup number 11.

The game will not be an easy one. Forget the first leg score; this is a whole different encounter altogether. We will go there and play for a win. We have to be alert and ready for a battle in Mbale. Katenga and Nsibambi are back in full training but not fully fit. Muhamud is still out injured, as well as Kwikiriza, who is ill. The rest of the members of the squad are okay and available for selection. – Jackson Magera Kaddu
