KCCA FC vs Calvary FC

MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Friday, October, 31st, 2025 – 8pm EAT

The Cityzens, KCCA FC, return to MTN Omondi Stadium with confidence as they prepare to host newly promoted Calvary FC in match day 5 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

KCCA FC goes into the fixture following a morale boosting 1-0 derby victory away against rivals Express FC last Thursday, a result that moved the club’s record to two wins and two draws so far this term.

However, the team will be eager to turn that winning form into a victory at Lugogo, as they are still searching for their first win at the MTN Omondi Stadium this 2025/26 season.

Head coach Jackson Magera remains in full charge, once again taking the reins in the absence of co-head coach Brian Sseyondo, who is away with the Uganda U17 national team preparing for the World Cup in Qatar.

Jackson Magera Kaddu

Magera has stressed the importance of focus and executing the game plan.

The victory against Express was a massive confidence booster, but that is behind us now. Our focus is completely on the task at hand against Calvary FC. They are a newly promoted side that just picked up a valuable away point against Maroons. However, we are playing at home, and the fans deserve to see us get our first home win of the season. If we stick to our tactical plan, maintain discipline, and show the same fighting spirit we did in the derby, I am optimistic that we shall be able to overcome Calvary FC and secure all three points.
