Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) return to action this Tuesday against Vipers at Phillip Omondi Stadium with one main mission – to stretch the gap at the helm of the league.

After earning a vital point off rivals SC Villa on Saturday in the 1-1 draw at Masaka Recreation Ground, KCCA can now look to the encounter against Vipers as one to edge them closer to the title defence.

Sitting atop because of a superior goal difference, team manager Mike Hillary Mutebi is quite aware that maximum points against Vipers will be a big boost in the quest for the title.

The tactician is confident that the team is in right conditions and ready to take up the challenge despite a congested fixture.

It is a big game for either side but of course more important to us because we are still engulfed in the title race. Both teams have good players and I believe they will offer an entertaining game

Thre manager told www.kccafc.co.ug before revealing their immediate target.

Our target at the moment is to stretch the lead at the top and thus we do not take any game lightly. The fact that we have games in hand doesn’t mean that we losen up but instead we should take a game at a time

Victory for KCCA FC against Vipers will see the defending champions stretch the gap at the top to three points ahead of second-placed SC Villa, who have 48 points.
