KCCA FC vs Lugazi FC

MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

Thursday, October, 16th, 2025 – 8pm EAT

KCCA FC return to the MTN Omondi Stadium for the first time in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season as they host Lugazi FC on Match Day three. The Cityzens, currently on four points from two games, will be looking to secure their first home victory at Lugogo.

Having picked up a morale-boosting win over rivals SC Villa in the Kampala derby recently, the team is in a good place.

KCCA FC put five past Lugazi FC in a similar fixture in the league last term.

Lugazi FC comes into this game having had a mixed start to the season but is keen to put distance between itself and the relegation zone early. Their last visit to Lugogo resulted in the heavy 5-0 defeat, contrasting sharply with the competitive 1-1 draw they forced in the reverse fixture.

KCCA FC co Head Coach Jackson Magera Kaddu

Coach Jackson Magera emphasized the importance of turning home advantage into three points while stressing that past results mean nothing in the current campaign.

This is our home, and we have to show that on the field of play. We respect Lugazi, they are a different team this season than the one we faced last year. Our mentality must be correct with discipline, intensity, and focus for 90 minutes. The five goals we scored last time are history. We must earn the right to win again.
