KCCA FC visit Kaaro Karungi FC in the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup at Kyamate Stadium, Ntungamo

Kaaro Karungi FC features in the FUFA Big League and is currently 7th after 20 games played this season.

KCCA FC eliminated Rwenzori FC while Kaaro Karungi eliminated UPDF FC in the round of 16 of the tournament.

KCCA FC are joint record winners of the Stanbic Uganda Cup with 10 trophies, while Kaaro Karungi has never won it.

The Cityzens’ only hope for silverware this season lies in the Uganda Cup, and a quarter-final win against big league side Kaaro Karungi will ensure they draw closer to that dream for the 11th cup.

We traveled well to the western part of the country, and the players are in good shape. As a team, we know this is the only chance to win silverware that we are left with this season. We play at Kyamate Stadium, and we know what happened here about 10 years ago. The memories are still fresh, but well, all that is in the past. We did not travel with Anaku (quadriceps strain), Etienne Katenga (recovery from shin contusion), Obenchan (rib injury), and Isa Mubiru (illness). The rest of the players are available for selection. -Jackson Magera Kaddu (Head Coach)
