Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) kept the dreams of winning their first domestic double in history after earning a positive result in the return leg against Express FC.
A goalless draw at Wankulukuku stadium on Tuesday was enough to see KCCA FC advance to the finals of this year’s Uganda Cup following a 3-2 victory in the first leg.
First choice goalkeeper and assistant captain, Benjamin Ochan believes the result gives the team confidence ahead of the clash with Rivers United in the Total CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday.
“It was a great performance from all of us, we played as a unit and maintained shape throughout the game and we managed to get the result that helped us advance to the finals,” he told www.kccafc.co.ug.
“ The game and result gives us a lot of motivation ahead of the crunch fixture against Rivers United,” he further noted.
Ochan also asserted that it is important that they keep competing in all competitions because it helps them grow into a better and formidable team.
“I am pleased that we have reached the finals of the Uganda Cup. We are a team that loves winning because it helps us become a stonger squad,” Ochan stated.
KCCA FC will now take on Paidha Black Angels in the final on 10th June at Greenlight stadium in Arua district.
