KCCA FC’s versatile defender Fillbert Obenchan has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract, extending his stay at the MTN Omondi Stadium until 2027.
Obenchan, a product of the KCCA FC academy, has been a cornerstone of the team’s defense since breaking into the senior squad in 2017.
Fillbert, one of the longest-serving members of the current KCCA FC squad, has played for a decade at Lugogo alongside players like Peter Magambo, and Julius Poloto. Known for his robust defending and ability to play across the backline, he has become a key player for the Kasasiro Boys.
‘The warrior’ as he is commonly referred to by his teammates, has since taken on leadership duties as vice-captain and has led the team out of the tunnel and on the pitch on many occasions during the absence of the team captain, Julius Poloto.

Speaking after signing his new deal, a happy Obenchan said,
I am happy to extend my contract with KCCA FC. This club is my home. I grew up here, and I have achieved everything I have from the game here. The management, the coaching staff, my teammates, and especially our fans have always shown me huge support. I believe in the vision of this club, and I am excited to continue working hard to bring success to KCCA FC. My heart is here, and I am ready for the challenge ahead.
