
Angolan Winger Etienne Katenga Renews Contract with KCCA FC

KCCA FC is delighted to announce that Angolan winger Etienne Katenga Openga has signed a new two-year contract, committing his future to the club until 2027.
Katenga, who first joined the club in 2023 on an initial two year deal, has quickly become a key player of the KCCA FC squad with his electrifying pace and skillful play on the wings.
His original contract expired at the end of the 2024/25 season, but both parties moved swiftly to secure a new agreement.
Katenga spoke to the club’s official website upon renewing his contract and said
I am very happy to continue my journey with KCCA FC. This club has a great history and an incredible fan base. I feel at home here, and I am excited to keep working hard with my teammates to contribute to the team’s objectives. We have big goals, and I am ready to do my part to achieve the team’s objectives
Co-coach Jackson Magera expressed his satisfaction with the contract renewal, with emphasis on the importance of retaining a player of Katenga’s caliber.
Etienne is a very important player for us. His speed and creativity on the flanks are important to our team. This renewal shows that he believes in our project and the direction we are heading. Katenga becomes the club’s fourth player to renew his contract in the current transfer window after Joao Gabriel, Filbert Obenchan, and Umar Lutalo.
